Privacy policy
This policy explains what personal information we, SATIEE Ltd, collect through our website at satiee.co.uk, why we collect it and what we do with it.
1. Who we are
We are SATIEE Ltd (“we”, “us”, “our”), a company registered in England and Wales (company number 17197066) with our registered office at University of Bath Innovation Centre, Carpenter House, Broad Quay, Bath, BA1 1UD.
Under UK data protection law, we are the data controller of the personal information you give us through this website. That means we decide how and why we use it, and we are legally responsible for that use.
We are registered with the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) under registration number ZC139807.
You can contact us about anything in this policy at info@satiee.co.uk.
2. The information we collect
We collect personal information when you book a demo, send us a message, apply to join us or visit the website.
When you book a call or demo. Our Google Calendar booking page asks for your name, email address, job title and company. It also records anything you write in its optional questions, with the date and time you choose. On our homepage, the booking page stays hidden until you click Show calls and times. Only then does your browser load it from Google and send Google your IP address. In the demo, Matthew may ask you to describe an adjustment request your team has handled. Please leave out names and any detail that would identify the employee.
When you send us a message. The form on our homepage asks for your name, work email, job title, company and the topic of your message, along with the message itself. Google Forms receives what you send and stores it in our Google account. If you email info@satiee.co.uk instead, we receive your email address and whatever you write.
When you apply to join us. Section 4 explains what we collect from people who apply and how long we keep it.
When you visit the website. Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, processes your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you view and the time of each visit, so that it can deliver the site and protect it from attack. The Cyber Essentials badge in our footer loads from BlockMark, the registry that publishes our certificate, so your browser also sends your IP address to BlockMark and to Google Cloud, where BlockMark stores the badge image. We do not use any of this information for analytics or marketing.
We do not ask for information about anyone’s health or disability through this website, so please leave details like these out of your messages. If you include them, we use them only to reply to you, and we delete them with the rest of your message.
3. How we use your information and why
Replying to your message or demo booking. When you contact us or book a demo, we use your details to reply, hold the meeting on Google Meet and follow up on what we discussed. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, because we need your details to answer you.
Considering you for a role. Section 4 explains how we use the messages people send when they apply to join us.
Operating and securing the website. We use the technical information our hosting provider processes to deliver the website, prevent abuse and fix problems. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests in running a working, secure website.
Complying with the law. When the law requires us to keep or disclose information, for example in response to a valid legal request, our lawful basis is legal obligation.
We do not use your personal information for automated decisions or profiling that have legal or similarly significant effects on you.
4. If you apply to join us
Our careers page helps you write a short email to info@satiee.co.uk. The email opens in your own email app, so we receive only what you choose to send. That is usually your name, email address, course, year of study and the work you would like to do. If you message us on LinkedIn instead, we also see your LinkedIn profile.
We use what you send to reply, to arrange a chat and, if what you want to work on matches what SATIEE needs next, to agree a role with you. Our lawful basis is legitimate interests, because we cannot consider you for a role without these details.
You do not need to tell us about a disability, a diagnosis or your health to apply, so please leave these out. If you need an adjustment to talk to us, just tell us what would help.
If we do not agree a role with you, we delete your messages 12 months after our last reply. We keep them that long because, from 1 October 2026, job applicants have six months to bring a discrimination claim, and early conciliation through Acas can extend that time. If you join us, your messages move to your staff record.
5. Who we share your information with
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the providers and recipients below.
Google LLC processes data on our behalf as the provider of Google Workspace. That includes Gmail for the emails you send us, Google Calendar appointment scheduling for demo bookings, Google Forms for the form on our homepage and Google Meet for the video calls we hold with you. Google acts as our data processor under our contract with it. You can read Google’s privacy information at policies.google.com/privacy.
Cloudflare, Inc. processes data on our behalf as the provider of our website hosting and content delivery network. It may process technical information, including IP addresses, to deliver and secure the website. You can read Cloudflare’s privacy information at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
BlockMark publishes our Cyber Essentials certificate, which the IASME Consortium issued, and serves the badge in our footer. Its own privacy policy covers the certificate page that opens when you select the badge.
LinkedIn. If you message us on LinkedIn, LinkedIn’s own privacy policy covers that message.
Other recipients. We share information with our lawyers and accountants when we need their advice, and with regulators or the police when the law requires it. If another company buys SATIEE or merges with it, your information may pass to that company.
6. International transfers
Google and Cloudflare may process data outside the United Kingdom, including in the European Economic Area, the United States and other locations. When this happens, we rely on the safeguards UK data protection law requires. These include transfers to countries that the UK Government has found to protect data adequately (currently including the European Economic Area), and the UK International Data Transfer Agreement (IDTA) or the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses where they are needed.
If you would like more information about these safeguards, please email info@satiee.co.uk.
7. How long we keep your information
We keep personal information only for as long as we need it for the purposes in this policy.
We keep demo bookings and messages for up to 24 months after our last contact with you. After that, we delete or anonymise them, unless the law requires us to keep them longer.
We keep messages from people who apply to join us for the time section 4 describes.
Cloudflare keeps hosting and security logs for its standard period, typically up to 30 days.
If your organisation becomes a customer of the SATIEE platform, your customer agreement with us sets how long we keep platform data.
8. Cookies and similar technologies
This website does not use cookies for marketing, advertising or analytics.
Our hosting provider, Cloudflare, may set a small number of strictly necessary technical cookies that it needs to deliver and secure the website, for example to detect malicious traffic. Under the UK Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR), strictly necessary cookies of this kind do not need your consent.
If we add other cookies in future, such as analytics cookies, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before we set them.
9. Marketing communications
We do not currently send marketing communications. If this changes, we will update this policy and ask for your consent before we send you any marketing emails.
10. Your rights
UK GDPR gives you the right to:
- know how we use your personal information, which this policy explains
- see the personal information we hold about you
- correct information that is wrong or incomplete
- ask us to delete your personal information, in certain circumstances
- ask us to limit how we use it, in certain circumstances
- object to how we use it
- take your information to another provider, where this applies
- withdraw your consent at any time, where we rely on it
- complain to us, and to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO)
To use any of these rights, email info@satiee.co.uk. We reply within one calendar month, as UK GDPR requires, and we may first ask you to confirm who you are.
If you are unhappy with how we have used your information, email the same address and say that you are making a complaint. We will confirm that we have it within 30 days, look into it, and tell you what we found and what we did. You can also complain to the ICO at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
11. Security
We use appropriate technical and organisational measures to protect personal information from unauthorised access, accidental loss, alteration or disclosure. We use reputable cloud providers (Google and Cloudflare), give our team access only to the information their work needs, and keep our systems up to date. We also hold Cyber Essentials certification.
No system is completely secure. If you think your personal information has been compromised, please email us straight away at info@satiee.co.uk.
12. Children
This website is for employers, professionals and university students. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 18. If you think we have collected information from a child, please contact us at info@satiee.co.uk and we will delete it.
13. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy to reflect changes in how we work, the providers we use or the law. When we make a significant change, we update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, tell you, for example by email if we have your email address.
