Our Journey

Since 2023, SATIEE has grown from a PhD at the University of Bath into a platform that helps employers make reasonable adjustments work.

Early years

From research to business

Matthew joins START (opens in a new tab), a programme for new tech businesses, to turn the findings of his PhD into a company. START recognises the commercial need for a digital system that helps employers support a diverse workforce with diverse needs, at scale.

EDEN

2024

A place in the incubator

With only 11 bursaries (opens in a new tab) for START's 120 business ideas, Matthew pitches a new way of making reasonable adjustments and wins a place at the SETsquared Bath incubator, where the business takes shape.

EDEN

Weeks later, EDEN is registered as a company under the name Employment Devices for Enhancing Neurodiversity.

Finding a community

Winning UnLtd's award quickly brings media coverage from BBC News, BBC Radio Leicester and the University of Bath's website (see our media page), connecting EDEN with the community it serves.

SATIEE

2025

Building the platform

Working largely as volunteers, the team turns the research into a Sustainable Approach To Inclusive Employment Efficiency. They build it into a working platform and name it after the approach's initials: SATIEE.

New name, same mission

Choosing simplicity over complexity, EDEN brings the company and its product under one name, and SATIEE Ltd is registered. The founder, team and mission stay the same.

Today

2026

First pilots

SATIEE begins its first pilots with employers, taking research that started in 2023 into real workplaces. Employees, managers and HR now shape the platform as it grows. The next chapter is still being written, so book a meeting (opens in a new tab) and join the journey.
