Our Team

The team turning lived experience into workplace change

Our multidisciplinary team unites research with operations and engineering to build the platform neurodivergent employees deserve. Most of us studied at the University of Bath, where we continue to recruit.

Matthew Punter

Matthew Punter

Founder

At the age of 7, Matthew was expelled from primary school, the first in a series of exclusions by schools across the West Midlands, Leicestershire, Nottinghamshire, and Derbyshire that were unable to support a neurodivergent child. Eventually the educational authorities withdrew their input entirely, leaving him without any form of schooling for a decade.

With the support of a local special needs school and dedicated mentors, Matthew went on to earn a BSc (Hons) and Master of Research in Psychology from the University of Bath, where he is now completing his PhD researching how digital technologies can support autistic individuals in employment. He founded SATIEE through the SETsquared Bath incubator and has been featured by BBC News, Autism Parenting Magazine, and Digital Construction Week.

Lauren Green

Lauren Green

Lauren holds a BSc (Hons) in Sociology and Master of Research in Psychology, both from the University of Bath. Her personal experience of navigating reasonable adjustments in the workplace gave her a first-hand understanding of how broken the process can be, and became the driving force behind her involvement in SATIEE.

That lived experience, combined with her research background and management experience, led her to play a central role in developing our comprehensive digital catalogue of workplace reasonable adjustments, the evidence-based foundation that powers SATIEE's core offering for employers.

Thomas Turner

Thomas Turner

Thomas is a Computer Science student at the University of Bath, where he chaired the Bath AI Society and won Hacker's Choice at Bath Hack 2024. His ADHD diagnosis at university shaped his interest in building environments where different ways of thinking can thrive. He has worked as a software engineer at ARM and Roke, across machine learning, full stack development and large language models. As part of SATIEE's tech team he works across the development lifecycle, in TypeScript, React, PostgreSQL and FastAPI.

Kasia Kuczaj

Kasia Kuczaj

Kasia holds a BSc (Hons) in Psychology from the University of Bath, where she was also a Gold Scholar and Turing Fund recipient. She has research experience abroad in cognitive science methods, and currently supports autistic students through the educational transition programme UTAS (University Transition Autism School). She is continuing her studies with a master's in psychology and neuroscience at King's College.

Firuze Yilmaz

Firuze Yilmaz

Firuze is a Gold Scholar studying Psychology at the University of Bath. Her lived experience of navigating her own neurodivergence gives her a personal understanding of the workplace challenges SATIEE addresses. Her research background includes a placement at the Transdiagnostic Research on Emotion and NeuroDiversity (TREND) Lab, developing assessment tools for neurodiversity and mental health, alongside contributions to multiple meta-analyses.

Venus Djiala

Venus Djiala

Venus is a Gold Scholar studying Psychology at the University of Bath. Since 2020, she has supported her older brother, who has autism, as a Young Carer, shaping the empathy she brings to the workplace challenges SATIEE addresses. She is currently on placement in Clinical Neuropsychology at Oxford University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, working with patients with long-term neurological damage, alongside her work at SATIEE.

Georgia Baptist

Georgia Baptist

Georgia holds a BA (Hons) in History from the University of Oxford, where she developed a rigorous approach to research and evidence. Before joining SATIEE she worked as a Logistics Administrator, coordinating with manufacturers, laboratories and internal teams. At SATIEE she develops evidence-informed guidance, contributes to product development and supports business growth. Georgia has OCD and has built her education and early career alongside it. She is committed to making that possible for others.

Abhar Ozair Abdullah

Abhar Ozair Abdullah

Abhar holds a BSc (Hons) in Computer Science from the University of Bath. During a year long placement at BT Group he worked in an Agile SRE platform engineering team, building production infrastructure and developer tooling used across the organisation. He is now a Full Stack Software Engineer at SATIEE, where he works across the application and on the reliability and security employees depend on when they use it.

Grace Smith

Grace Smith

Grace is a Gold Scholar studying Psychology at the University of Bath. Her own experience of neurodiversity in employment gave her the confidence to raise workplace challenges directly, and she came to SATIEE to make that easier for other people to do. Alongside this work, Grace is currently on placement with the Social Learning Lab at Boston University, researching how trust develops in children.

Olivia Hoang

Olivia Hoang

Olivia is a Gold Scholar studying Psychology at the University of Bath. She has worked in teaching and mentoring roles, including as a tutor and a Senior Peer Assisted Learning (PAL) Leader. With her academic, professional and personal experience of mental wellbeing, she joined SATIEE to help make support at work easier to reach.
